How To Propose

1:  Find the right person.
2:  Fall in love.
3:  Know enough about your future in-laws to know if you should ask permission from them first.
4:  Know enough about your beloved so you can create a meaningful experience.
5:  Decide if you are going to purchase the ring before or after you propose.
6:  Stay within your budget or financial capability.
7:  Pay attention to timing. Don't plan on proposing when he or she is stressed or overwhelmed.
8:  Pick a memorable place, song, or occasion such as where you first met, or first kissed, etc.
9:  Set a romantic tone.
10:  Keep it fun.
11:  Keep it simple.
12:  If you are thinking of tying the ring to the end of a kite string or fishing line, be certain that your intended has a great sense of humor and that you know how to tie a good knot!
13:  Don't lose the ring if you've purchased one.

    All in the icing - Proposing is sweet, but not as sweet as it can be...Try this crazy idea...arrange for you to go to a bakery for morning breakfast, or maybe early dinner, and have them bake a cake with "Will you Marry Me?" on it. Then in the middle of the cake there will be an icing flower, and in the flower will be the ring. Beautifully Sweet!! 

    Basket of Roses key to your life - Meet her at a beautiful greenhouse. Bring a rose basket (has no brim? /half moon shaped) fill the basket with flowers of your choice. Have various colours and sizes of ribbons tied and dangling from the handle of the basket. He ties his apartment key, car key, and ring etc... to make a chime effect when he proposes to her. Giving her flowers and the keys to his life and a ring in beautiful place. 

    Birthday Proposal - When my husband proposed he did it on his birthday. He said he was sick of opening presents and told me to open one. When I removed the tissue paper the ring box was at the bottom. I opened the box; he hit one knee and asked me to marry him! It was very romantic!

    Christian Respect - Ask her to meet you, either in your church or in a church you or her would like to get married in, be waiting on her. Take her up to the stage and have a basin waiting. Wash her feet, read her Proverbs 31 (or another romantic verse), tell her you love her and pop the question. 

    Christmas Gift! - When I proposed to my wife, I wrapped her ring box and then put it into a bigger box with a bunch of other boxes and had wrapped each one. She had to open each box with an anticipation that she has never had before. She loved it!!

    Clammy Proposal - Have an evening on the beach, including champagne or fine wine. Collect shells together. Show her your collection, including your pre-purchased clam (seafood store) with the ring inside (or you can use the ring holder and place it inside two shells and glue some ends of the shell). When she opens the shell, she'll be surprised...next have a hired musician play her favorite love song. (They do perform on the beach!) 

    Cracker Jack Box - Take the original prize out of a Cracker Jack box and then wraps the ring up as the prize. Just make sure you open the bottom of the box carefully then take the bag out and open one side, empty out all the cracker jacks, then place the ring in the bottom, pout all the cracker jacks back (you can add some paper or something at the top so it doesn't settle too much and the ring gets lost in the bag), then staple the bag shut. Then the place the bottom of the bag (where the ring is) in first, close the box and glue the bottom shut. You can also attach a cute note if you like. 

    Don't hide it too well - Hide your ring in a garden, tell your girlfriend you have an odd flower that you would like to see, walk behind them and as they find the ring, kneel behind them. 

    Hershey Kiss Trail - Use the home of your loved ones best friend and tell the friend to call her to come over and to say its very important. When she comes she will see a trail of Hershey kisses and will lead to the dining room where a big Hershey kiss will be in the middle of a candle lit dinner with a note saying "Now that I have kissed the ground that you have walked on, will you kiss me and be spend the rest of your life with me." Then you come out of nowhere with flowers in one hand and a wedding band on the other. Wearing a nice tux wouldn't be shabby either. 

   Popsicles - Some popsicle sticks have a riddle, or something written on them. You can get one specially made, and have the big question written on the popsicle stick. That way, when she gets done eating the popsicle, she will see the question. You may even want to use their name. Have flowers ready!
